Understanding the status of your repair
This article explains the different stages and status of your repair
You can track your handset's repair at Fonemenders by using our repair tracking tool which you can access by clicking here. When you check the status of your repair, depending on the progress of the repair, you will receive a status message that will include some of the following:
AWAITING PARTS – we are awaiting delivery of parts necessary to repair your phone. We will make sure it is fixed as soon as parts are received, generally within 5 to 7 working days.
AWAITING SENDING TO FONEMENDERS HUB – your phone needs to be sent to the Fonemenders master repair centre for further testing and repair. Your phone should be back in your local branch within 3 - 5 working days.
COMPLETED – your phone has been repaired by our technician and is awaiting final tests in the Quality Assurance department to ensure its full compliance with manufacturer’s specifications. Your phone should be ready for collection in your store within 24 hours.
COMPLETED AT FONEMENDERS HUB – the repair of your phone has been completed at Fonemenders master repair centre. The phone should be returned to your local branch the next day for final testing.
DISPATCHED – repair of your phone has been completed and your phone should be ready for collection in your store within 24 hours.
AWAITING ESTIMATE RESPONSE – repair of your phone is unfortunately not covered under your manufacturer’s warranty. We have unsuccessfully tried contacting you with an estimate, please call us on 1850 430 030 for further info on how you can get your phone repaired.
ESTIMATE APPROVED – we have received the payment and sent your phone to the workshop to be repaired. Repair should be completed within 1 - 2 working days.
ESTIMATE DECLINED – we are sorry we could not cover the cost of the repair of your phone with manufacturer’s warranty.
ESTIMATE REQUIRED – repair of your phone is not covered with manufacturer’s warranty. We will be in touch with you within next 24 hours to provide more details.
ON WORKBENCH – your phone is with a technician being repaired and should be ready within two days.
PARTS RECEIVED – we have received all parts necessary to fix your phone. We will make sure it is ready within two days.
PROOF OF PURCHASE RECEIVED – thank you for providing the proof of purchase requested by the manufacturer. We will now be able to fix your phone in warranty, at no cost.
PRE-BOOKED – we’re waiting for your phone to be delivered to our repair centre. It will be inspected as soon as possible.
QA BEYOND ECONOMICAL REPAIR – unfortunately, due to technical reasons, it will not be possible for us to repair your phone – signs of physical damage or moisture intrusion were discovered on the components of its main board. If you would like your phone recycled, please contact us at info@fonemenders.ie .
QA PASSED – your phone has been repaired and tested by our technicians. It is now fully compliant with manufacturer’s specifications.
QA FAILED – unfortunately your phone did not pass all necessary tests required by the manufacturer and was sent back to the repair technician. We will make sure that a further update will be available within a day.
RECEIVED AT FONEMENDERS HUB – your phone has been received in Fonemenders master repair centre where it will be tested and repaired. It should be back in your local branch within 3 to 5 working days.
RECEIVED BY FONEMENDERS – we have just received your phone in our repair centre. It is awaiting inspection at the moment.
RECEIVED BY STORE – your phone was received in your local store where it is available for collection.
RECEIVED FROM FM HUB – the repair of your phone has been completed at Fonemenders master repair centre. Your phone is awaiting final testing and should be available for collection within 24 hours.
RECEIVED FROM LEVEL 3 – repair of your phone has been completed at the manufacturer’s own repair centre; your phone is awaiting final testing which should be completed within a day.
RETURNED FROM FM HUB – the repair of your phone has been completed at Fonemenders master repair centre. Your phone should be received in your local branch and made ready for collection within 24 hours.
SENT TO FM HUB – your phone has been sent over to Fonemenders master repair centre for further testing and repair. Your phone should be back in your local branch within 3-5 working days.
SENT TO FONEMENDERS – We’re waiting for your phone to be delivered to our repair centre. It will be inspected as soon as possible.
SENT TO LEVEL 3 – repair of your telephone requires mending the main board and can be carried out only by the manufacturers themselves. We therefore sent your phone outsource to ensure it is fully repaired to specifications. Level 3 repairs generally take 5 to 7 working days. As soon as your phone is received back from the manufacturer, we will have it fully tested to manufacturer’s specifications.
SHIPPED – your phone has been sent back from our premises. If you don’t receive it by next working day, please email us at info@fonemenders.ie .
